The Carolina Region Women’s Missionary Society of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church offer the Vilma L. Williams Scholarship to two (2) persons per District (male or female) who have actively served as a member of the CME Church for at least two years prior to applying for the scholarship. This is a one-time scholarship to assist with your financial responsibilities in college. The scholarship is usually $300.00 but sometimes according to needs the scholarship is larger. The amount awarded must not exceed the allocated dollars allowed. Application Deadline: June 30th

Each applicant must write an essay of 500-1,000 words from the subject, “My Goals and Objectives for the Next Four Years.” Financial needs and church membership/participation must be described in the essay.
The Winston-Salem/Greenville District Lay Ministry Scholarship in the amount of $500.00 is awarded to a FIRST YEAR student within the District who has actively served as a member of the CME Church for two years prior to applying for the scholarship. Because of the ever changing dynamic in today's society, it is becoming increasingly more important for our young people to develop a strong sense of their responsibility and place in our nation and the world. The CCTaylorFoundation looks for those young people who have displayed this understanding through their dedication to church and community services. As a result, The CCTaylorFoundation offers the following scholarships:
1) The John L. "Coach" Taylor Achievement Award
2) The Sunshine Shehee Payne Scholarship
3) The Judith Woolley-McKevitt Scholarship
4) The Mary L. Ollie Good Samaritan Outreach Ministry.
5) Fifteen scholarships and two achievement awards to high school graduating seniors entering college
6) A stipend to a student enrolled at Phillips School of Theology.
APPLICATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY MARCH 31st. Scholarships and Stipends are pro-rated and sent directly to the university/college/seminary
